Natural sweetness, authentic character

European dried grapes

Produced from selected grape varieties, with harvesting, processing and drying carried out to defined specifications that preserve their quality and sensory characteristics.

European dried grapes are a timeless product of European agri-food production, known for their natural sweetness, their distinctive texture and their versatility.

On this website, “dried grapes” refers to the whole product category — subheading 0806 20 of the EU Combined Nomenclature, “grapes, dried” — and therefore to all the varieties the programme promotes.

How they are produced

European dried grapes are produced from selected grape varieties. Harvesting, processing and drying are carried out to defined production specifications, designed to preserve the quality and the sensory characteristics of the product.

Quality, safety and traceability

At every stage of the production process, stringent quality, safety and traceability standards are applied in accordance with the European regulatory framework, ensuring transparency, reliability and consumer confidence. Traceability is required at all stages of production, processing and distribution.

In the kitchen

Thanks to their natural sweetness and pleasant texture, dried grapes are a versatile ingredient for everyday and creative cooking: in bread and baking, in salads, with breakfast cereals, in desserts and in savoury dishes.

Before use, they can be soaked briefly in warm water or fruit juice to soften them. Store them in a closed container in a cool, dry place.
